In October a group of ten year 12 students who achieved excellent grades at GCSE were selected to attend this prestigious event with a line-up of speakers who were top in their field. Students were encouraged to debate on the representation on females in industry and were given a range of challenging activities to work through with other schools.
The impressive line-up included:
Jude Kelly OBE Artistic Director of the Southbank centre
Deborah Bull CBE former creative director of Royal Opera House
Emma Barnett Women’s editor of Telegraph
Emily Cummings ethical inventor
Rt Hon Yvette Cooper MP – Shadow Home Secretary
The students had a great day which culminated in Ms Jackson being invited to attend a reception at the House of Lords representing Lampton school.
