We are a comprehensive Sixth Form with consistently outstanding results – enabling students to make great progress

One of many happy straight A students: Results Day 2015

Among the cohort of exceptional students were nine who achieved straight A*s. Three students will be studying at Cambridge, a further seven will study either Medicine or Dentistry and one lucky student will be attending Bucknall College, Pennsylvania – a highly prestigious US university through the Sutton Trust’s US programme. Overall, A-Level results have shot up to 54% A*-B – the best ever results for the Sixth Form, while 42% of students have progressed onto the Sutton Trust’s top 30 most competitive universities.

Headteacher Stephen Davis said: “ We are delighted with Lampton’s best ever A level results. They are a product of the hard work and determination of the students, staff and the support of families. We wish all our leavers the very best for the future, in particular Maryam, David and Tara as they take up their places at Cambridge.”Our results for 2016 are out best ever,  with 21% of all entries being awarded A*-A, and 54% awarded A*-B, and 100% A*-E.  Our ALPS score is 3 – placing the 6th form in the top 10% of schools nationally by progress.

Director of Sixth Form Mike Bates said “we’re thrilled to see so many students achieve results that would be the envy of grammar schools – especially in some of the toughest subjects like mathematics and the sciences. Our students have worked incredibly hard over the past two years – they’ve displayed fierce ambition, perseverance and a real tenacity to achieve their goals – and been closely supported by fantastic teachers.”
